Dog carcass in alley this morning, tire tread on burst stomach. This city is afraid of me. I have seen its true face. The streets are extended gutters and the gutters are full of blood and when the drains finally scab over, all the vermin will drown. The accumulated filth of all their sex and murder will foam up about their waists and all the fans and critics will look up and shout “Change your website! Tour more! Release new music!”… and I’ll look down and whisper “No.”

- There is a gap track that only shows up when listened on a CD player in between “Sowing Season” and “Millstone” that is basically about five or six looped phone voice mails that are actually played on top of each other before “Millstone” starts. There is a bit of belief that the end of the verse where Jesse explains how he was losing his friends to drinking and driving but got some back has to do with those messages—like those are the friends that he got back.
- In “Untitled”, around :47, you can hear Jesse begin to sob before someone (possibly Vin), tell hims, “it’s gonna be okay, man”. There is also a belief that the talking during that song is a slowed down version of Jesse’s girlfriend at the time calling Jesse’s voicemail and saying, “I can never love you. I can never love you, I can never reach you.”
- If you play “Untitled” backwards, the entirety of the voices just keep saying, “this never ends”.
Brand New. The fuck.
